Embroidery 101 By JVB

Embroidery has limitations where compared to screen printing. For example a rule of thumb is that letter can
not be smaller than 1/4" or they will begin to fill in, on bulkier fabrics for example polar fleece letter size
may need to 1/2" tall per character so the lettering does not fill in with the fabric.

Simple Lettering does not require any set up fee, though typestyles are much
more limited. We only have a few type styles that qualify for free set-up.

Please consider if you want block lettering or script ( cursive)

If you have had your logo embroidered by us in the past there is no set up fee.

New logos will have a one time digitizing charge so the embroidery equipment will
no exactly what your logo should look like.

A typical left chest embroidered logo has a set-up of approximately $75-$150,
this is for a logo about 1" x 4" to 2" x 4.5"

When setting up a new logo please allow time to get your design, experiment with the best
stitching techniques and provide a sample sewn out on a swatch of fabric.

Normally, from receipt of art and order you can expect 4 weeks until delivery.
Previously embroidered logos that have been approved and need no changes can
expect a delivery time of 2-3 weeks from receipt of order.

If you choose from one of the stock designs from the collection above or simple lettering,
delivery is about the same as previously embroidered logos.

Orders of 72 or more pcs. may have the embroidered logo or set-up fees waived.

Often, it is cheaper on smaller quantities to use a stock logo or simple lettering
on for example a polo shirt than even screenprinting on a t-shirt.

If you need a firm quotation on a garment order please e-mail description of garment, quantity, and either attach the logo to the inquiry e-mail or fax it. Pricing will be offered promptly.

Additional embroidery locations, personalized names or numbers will add to the cost of your order.

If you now the color numbers, pantone numbers, or pms numbers of colors in you logo please note them
on all inquiries. While there are over 500 thread colors, they may not be an exact match to printing
ink color options which number around 7,000.

We will gladly explain limitations in embroidery thread colors, and if time is allowed you will receive
a sample logo in the closest colors on a swatch of fabric at no charge.

If your logo is complex you may want to consider screenprinting, please contact shop for prices.

Unlike screenprinting, there is no additional charge for using up to 4 colors in one design.

We tend to be perfectionists, aiming to get embroidered logos as close as possible to the printed logo.

Please provide a logo for free review, prior to placing your order.
Any limitations will be discussed in advance. Some logos require simplification of color or design
elements. We strongly recommend that after placing an order you allow time to review a sample
of the art sewn out on a piece of fabric.

If you have had your design embroidered in the past, it is best to provide an actual embroidered pc. for
feedback, there are many techniques to stitching a logo and we can suggest improvements if necessary.
