{"id":105,"date":"2007-10-26T17:25:44","date_gmt":"2007-10-26T22:25:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.imprintitems.com\/blog\/promotional-product-ideas\/chilidogchilly-dogsilly-blog\/"},"modified":"2007-10-29T17:23:01","modified_gmt":"2007-10-29T22:23:01","slug":"chilidogchilly-dogsilly-blog","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.imprintitems.com\/blog\/105\/chilidogchilly-dogsilly-blog","title":{"rendered":"Chilidog&#8230;Chilly Dog&#8230;silly blog!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>What the heck?<\/p>\n<p>Chilly Dog Cozy Blog&#8230;What sense does that title make for a blog? and why blog to begin with?<\/p>\n<p>If at 20 years old I would have been told in the future blogging would be a welcome break from the daily work chores, well, I would not have known what that even meant.<\/p>\n<p>Recently we were faced with a big challenge: what should we name our Blog?  We came up with Chilly Dog, Cozy Blog.<\/p>\n<p>Why does a blog need a name?  Is this just a passing fad?<\/p>\n<p>Ok, enough.  I have succumb to the idea that a blog is akin to the fax machine.  If we did not get a blog now, we would surely regret it in 5 years.<\/p>\n<p>So the name is chosen.  As for the Chilly Dog part, is that because we are cold here n Minnesota in the winter?  Should we have a picture of cold canine to promote our widgets that can be imprinted with your advertising message?<\/p>\n<p>If we choose the cold pooch approach, should we use a cute looking pathetically cold puppy dog, or would a dashing huskie pulling a sled on ice better promote our Embroidery Caps?<\/p>\n<p>Wait just a cotton-picken minute, did we mean Chilly Dog or did we actually mean Chili Dog?<\/p>\n<p>When my mother was alive, we would visit Bullwinkle&#8217;s Bar and Grill at seven corners next to the University of Minnesota campus.<br \/>\nWe always ordered a coney dog  (aka chili dog).<br \/>\nMaybe ImprintItems&#8217; blog was meant to be called Chili Dog,  Cozy Blog.<\/p>\n<p>If that were true, it would certainly be a great tie in with custom etched or printed beer glasses and mugs.  A cold frosty one always goes down well with a chili dog.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/drinkware\/finedrinkware\/pilsnerglasssf01\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"beer mug\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"\/drinkware\/finedrinkware\/pilsnerglasssf01\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"beer mug\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.imprintitems.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/10\/0-drinkware-finedrinkware-pilsnerglasssf01_sm.thumbnail.jpg\" alt=\"beer mug\" height=\"90\" width=\"90\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strike><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/strike><br \/>\nOf course, if that logic holds, we would also sell rolaids and alka seltzer.  These also tie in well with chili dogs.<\/p>\n<p>Was life simpler before blogs?  Not sure.  They are fun to write.  It&#8217;s kind of like airing your laundry.
