Bike safety<\/a> for city and state safe bicycling initiatives<\/a> are growing in popularity: kids biking safely to school, encouraging adults to bike safely to work, and promoting safety in recreational biking.<\/p>\n

Every year, about 300,000 kids go to the emergency department because of bike injuries, and at least 10,000 kids have injuries that require a few days in the hospital.
