Well it all started at a fundraiser for the school that my kids attend.<\/span><\/p>\n There was a silent auction and out of guilt, I bid on every item that Then I came across a silent auction item that stated the value was “priceless”<\/span><\/p>\n It was for a short voice over job for an answering machine, with the voice being that of Common Man from K-Fan fame. The Common Man Program is a show on K-Fan hosted by Dan Cole. Cole is reported to be able to predict outcomes of sporting events very accurately in advance. Cole is with K-Fan, not ESPN, but some say he does have sports-related ESP.<\/span><\/p>\n I have many local clients in the Twin Cities of Minnesota that are bigger sports fans than I am. Also one of our in-house guys is a big sports fan and can’t get enough local sports info. So I figured he would get a kick out of this voice over for our www.imprintitems.com<\/a> voicemail message.<\/span><\/p>\n Common Man’s producer Brandon “Tenna-B” Mileski sent me the audio clip. After much thought we decided that with 85% of our clients being from outside of Minnesota, it may be confusing to them to hear the voice of Common Man on our telephone answering system.<\/span><\/p>\n Ultimately the result of my silent auction investment is not on our voice mail, but we found it to be a fun story and great conversation.
