For people that wear bandanas on their head like hikers, campers, bikers, motorcycle riders, landscaping and construction workers, etc., the traditional plastic based screen printing inks are not an appealing option. They do not allow the fabric to breath and on a hot day the bandanna will feel hot and clammy and will not absorb as much sweat. In the past, the only way around this was to do a rotary printed bandana. With rotary printing, the fabric is dyed with a water based ink at high speeds while still in a roll form. The major drawback to this method is you have to order a large number of bandanas (firm minimum order of 5000 pieces per design).
Our Soft Feel Bandanas are printed in the traditional screen printing method, but with a water based ink to maintain the soft feel and breathability for those that wear them. Screen printing allows for quantities as low as 96 pieces to be ordered at an economical price. They are printed and sewn in the USA. Note, the backside of a bandana with water based ink customization will have a ghosted image of the front as the ink soaks through the fabric during printing.
