“Very good,” conceded the other, “but when my company presented arms you’d just hear slap, slap, jingle.” “What was the jingle?” asked the first. “Oh,” replied the other offhand, “just our medals.”
This year Memorial Day falls on May 26, 2008. This is a holiday in which we celebrate the deceased, especially those of the Armed Services. This can be an occasion where an American Flag Pin or yellow remembrance ribbon would be appropriate to wear. These items are great for this special day. Many schools have a Memorial Day assembly for students and faculty; consider buying in bulk and have students each wear a pin to show their support during the program and throughout the day.
