Caldera Award - Starfire/Sandstone 7". One of a set of substantial awards in aquashaped sandstone and starfire glass, with the addition of a black granite accent. Sandstone, as a major structural element, reinforces the impression of weight, solidity and permanence in an award. In the Sahara, a stylized star in starfire glass is inserted into an aquashaped sandstone base, while a second star in black granite is inset into the front of the sandstone.
