Mesa Award - Starfire/Sandstone 8". One of a set of substantial awards in sandstone and starfire glass. Sandstone, as a major structural element, reinforces the impression of weight, solidity and permanence in an award. The Mesa features an aquashaped starfire rectangle with sculpted and carved bottom edge fused to a correspondingly sculpted sandstone base. Due to the nature of sandstone, the exact thickness, color and surface texture may vary from piece to piece.
